Tonic Recipe:
Mandarin Orange (x3)
Large Apple (x1)
Peeled, Fresh Ginger (x1 small clove)
Honey (x2 TBLS)
Chili Flake (1 pinch)
Makes 48 oz- one 32oz jar to store and one 16 oz cup to drink right away.
Instructions:
Small pot fill with water- 48 oz or 3/4 of the way full.
In a nut milk bag place fruit and ginger, close and then add to water
Bring water to a boil then keep it on a low rolling boil till fruit is soft enough to squish with a spoon (20-30 min)
Squish the bag sporadically with a spoon as it heats to release juices and enhance flavor
After 20/30 min remove squished bag of fruit and ginger - fruit should be mush
Add honey to jar of choice and chili flake
Using a funnel or your ability to pour into a jar transfer tonic to jar
Shake or stir to fully incorporate the honey/chili to the tonic
Serve hot or cold**If you like it’s and are of age this tonic is great with alcohol of choice
